Safety and handling guidelines

WARNING: HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION; READ BEFORE USE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, DISCOMFORT, PROPERTY DAMAGE, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE AND OTHER POTENTIAL HAZARDS

To avoid damaging your device, accessories or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below before using your Alldock.

HANDLING

Handle your Alldock with care. You may damage the device if you disassemble, drop, bend, burn, crush or puncture it. Do not use an Alldock with a damaged enclosure. Using a damaged product may cause injury. Do not expose your Alldock to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating.  If your Alldock gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source.  Alldock is designed to operate in a dry, indoor environment.

Your Alldock is designed to work in ambient temperatures between 0° and 35° C (32° to 95° F), and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -20° and 60° C (-4° and 140° F). Do not leave your Alldock in places where the temperature may exceed 60° C (140° F), such as on a car dashboard or near a heating vent as this may damage the product or pose a potential risk of fire.  Keep your product away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. If your device becomes too hot, disconnect it from its power source if it is plugged in, move it to a cooler place, and do not use it until has cooled. Your Alldock is designed to work at an altitude of up to 6,560 ft (2,000 m).

REPAIR & SERVICE

Do not attempt to repair your Alldock yourself. Disassembling the device may cause injury to you or damage your device. Unauthorized repairs or modifications could result in permanent damage to the device and may affect your warranty coverage and regulatory authorizations.

Contact customer service and do not use your device if it isn’t working properly or has been damaged. For online help and support please send us an email to support@alldock.com.au

Repairs by service providers other than Alldock may not involve the use of ALLDOCK genuine parts and may affect the safety and functionality of the device.

POWERING YOUR DEVICE

Be sure the power adapter and Alldock are well ventilated when in use. Using a damaged cable or power adapter can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to your Alldock or other property.  When powering the product, make sure the power adapter is plugged into a socket near the product and is easily accessible. Avoid powering the device in direct sunlight.

Only power your Alldock with the included power adapter and cable. Failure to do so can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the device and the accessories.

When disconnecting the power adapter from a power outlet, pull on the adapter, never on the cable.  Do not twist or pinch the cable, and do not force a connector into a port.

When using the wireless charger, remove metallic cases and avoid placing metallic foreign objects on the charger or the charging spot (for example, keys, coins, batteries, or jewelry), as they may become warm or interfere with charging.

Using an ultra-thick protective phone case or a case with a magnetic/iron plate is not recommended as it may affect the wireless charging function.

PROLONGED HEAT EXPOSURE

Alldock generates heat during normal operation and comply with applicable surface temperature standards and limits. Avoid prolonged, direct or indirect skin contact when the device is in use because exposing skin to hot surfaces for a long period of time may cause discomfort or burns.

Keep your Alldock, the power adapter, and any wireless charger in a well-ventilated area when in use or charging. Take special care if you have a physical condition that affects your ability to detect heat against the body.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESTRICTIONS

To prevent damage to your Alldock or internal circuits, do not use or store the device or its accessories in dusty, smoky, damp, or dirty environments, or near magnetic fields.  Keep it away from heat sources and out of direct sunlight. Do not leave your device inside a vehicle or in places where the temperature may exceed 60° C (140° F), such as on a window sill, near a heating vent, or behind glass that is exposed to direct sunlight or strong ultraviolet light for extended periods of time.  This may damage Alldock and/or pose the risk of fire or explosion.

CARE & CLEANING

Unplug the product and power adapter before cleaning, during lightning storms, or when unused for extended periods of time. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean Alldock and its accessories.

Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean the product or accessories.

LIQUIDS AND WEATHER INFLUENCES

Do not use the Alldock near sources of liquid such as drinks, oils, lotions, sinks, bathtubs and showers. Protect the Alldock from dampness and wet weather such as rain, snow and fog. Never connect or disconnect the Alldock or the power supply unit to or from an electrical outlet with wet hands.

If your device does get wet, carefully unplug all cables without getting your hands wet and wait for the device to dry completely before plugging it in again. Do not attempt to dry your devices with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer.

RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE

Observe rules that prohibit the use of wireless technology (e.g. WiFi). Your Alldock is designed to comply with regulations governing radio frequency emissions but use of wireless devices can negatively affect other electronic equipment.

MEDICAL DEVICE INTERFERENCE

Your Alldock uses radios and other components that emit electromagnetic fields, and also contains magnets near the speaker. These electromagnetic fields and magnets may interfere with pacemakers and other implanted medical devices. Always keep the Alldock and its power adapter at a safe distance away from the pacemaker or other implanted medical device. If you have questions about using your Alldock with or near your pacemaker or other implanted medical device, consult your healthcare provider before using your product. If you suspect your product is interfering with your pacemaker or other implanted medical devices, turn off your device and consult your physician for information specific to your medical device.
